Ioannis Tsiouris has written two books and many articles in international scientific journals on Byzantine and post-Byzantine art. He teaches at the undergraduate program of the University of Thessaly, as well the post-graduate programs of the University of Thessaly and the Hellenic Open University. He is a member of the Christian Archaeological Society and the Hellenic Committee on Byzantine Studies. His research interests include Byzantine and post-Byzantine archaeology and art, its affinity with the West, social issues of and in art, as well as cultural management.
