Themis Dallas was born in London, but grew up in Greece. He studied physics at the University of Patras and defended his PhD thesis at the same University in 1996. Since 2004 he works as a laboratory teacher in the Department of History Archaeology and Social Anthropology of the University of Thessaly, lecturing on history of science, archaeoastronomy and applications of computing in humanities. His current research focuses on cultural astronomy, especially on the orientation of early Christian churches.
