
Dr. Avraam Mavridis has more than 25 years of teaching and research experience in Greece, Malta, Finland, Sweden, Belgium, France and more. Currently (March 2026), he is Assistant Professor (Adjunct) of International Hellenic University, at the Departments of Logistics and Agriculture. Also he is Lecturer (Adjunct) of Perrotis College, Scientific Consultant of the start-up REFARM and Postdoc Researcher of the Un. of Macedonia, in Applied Informatics. He holds a PhD in Engineering (GIS for Agroenvironmental Sustainability), a MSc in Geoinformatics and an MSc and BSc in Agriculture, all from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He is Expert of the European Commission (several DGs) and of EIP AGRI. He has worked as consultant for several international organizations like EIT, DLR, EUSPA and more. He is Expert Evaluator in different topics: Earth Observation, Smart Farming, Decarbonization, Socioeconomic Resilience, Digitalization, Logistics, Organic Agriculture, Energy, Blue Growth, Bioeconomy and more). He worked as educator in several Universities (AUTH, IHU, UoAegean, WPI, etc.), as researcher with ELSTAT, ELGO DEMETER, GSRI, NGO ARCTUROS, Epsilon Malta Ltd, and, as National Consultant of Malta, Germany and Slovakia. He has been awarded several times and he was a Marie Curie RISE Scholar. He contributes continuously in several topics and committees, but exceptional was the invitation in 2014 by “The Economist”, as a VIP Guest Member of the Panel of the World Summit: “Sustainable Solutions for a Global Crisis”.
