
Prof. Olha Mykhailenko received her MSc in Pharmacy in 2008, PhD in 2012 and DSc in 2024, all from the National University of Pharmacy (NUPh, Ukraine), specialisation: Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharmacognosy. During her postdoctoral research, she received the Cara Fellowship Award in 2023 (UCL School of Pharmacy, UK) and the Georg Forster Research Fellowship for Experienced Researchers from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation in 2024 (Kiel University, Germany). Olha Mykhailenko has expertise in natural products chemistry, quality control of herbal medicines, and agriculture, having implemented GACP (Good Agricultural and Collection Practices) approaches in medicinal plant cultivation. She is now focusing on exploring the chemical changes in plants associated with external factors, particularly climate change. She has received several awards, including the President’s Prize for Young Scientists in Ukraine for achievements in science and technology (2021), top-10 of L'Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science in Ukraine (2025).
