This study examines the contribution of neural translation technologies and generative Artificial Intelligence in fostering multilingual and inclusive learning environments in Physical Education (PE). Driven by the increasing multiculturalism in contemporary schools, there is a growing need for digital tools that streamline communication, enhance student engagement, and ensure equal access to learning. The study was conducted with a sample of 258 participants (143 elementary school students, 65 middle school students, and 50 teachers) from schools under the Regional Directorate of Education of Western Greece. A structured five-point Likert-type questionnaire was used to collect data, assessing participants' perceptions regarding the use of AI tools, physical activity, language development, and inclusion. At the same time, a six-week educational intervention titled “Move, Learn and Communicate” was designed and implemented. This intervention integrated a series of activities focused on English sports terminology acquisition, the development of multilingual physical activities, the creation of exercise programmes with the assistance of AI, and the organisation of an intercultural sports festival. The findings indicate highly positive attitudes among participants toward the use of AI, a significant increase in physical activity, enhanced language proficiency in English sports terminology, and a strengthened sense of inclusion and cooperation among students. Furthermore, positive correlations were identified between the use of digital tools and the quality of the educational experience in terms of active participation, language development, and social interaction. In conclusion, integrating translation technologies and generative AI in Physical Education has the potential to significantly advance innovative, inclusive, and multilingual learning environments, ultimately promoting health, collaboration, and intercultural empathy in modern schools.
