Introducing the ATLAS Accessibility Suite
Date & Time: 10/10/2026 (11:30-13:30)
Location: Lecture Hall 2 - Ionian University Building
Emmanouela Patiniotaki (ATLAS E.P.)

ATLAS Accessibility Suite is the first software designed in Greece for accessibility-related services of various kinds. The suite was designed based on professionals’ needs and it is the first to combine tools for a variety of access services for live events as well as pre-recorded content, including solutions for surtitling, cinema subtitling, speech-to-text interpreting, and audio description.

After 17 of experience in the audiovisual translation and accessibility, ATLAS E.P. identified its customers’ needs and decided to design a tool that would improve accessibility for their products and events in ways that make professionals’ lives easier. At the same time, a unique parallel user-centred environment can be shared with users, to personalise their experience in different contexts.

Emmanouela Patiniotaki presents the first, beta version of the ATLAS Accessibility Suite for the first time with live tests in different scenarios, as well as the logic behind its bulit. The first live test of the platform will take place at the Greek DEAFestival in September 2026, and users' as well as professionals' feedback will be shared during the presentation, along with next steps for its official launch.
