Alice Yi-Rong Hung

Alice Yi-Rong Hung is a PhD candidate in Interpreting Studies at the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting (FTI), University of Geneva, Switzerland. She holds an MSc in Interpreting and Translating from Heriot-Watt University (UK) and a BA in Applied Linguistics from Chung Yuan Christian University (Taiwan). Her doctoral thesis examines diplomatic interpreting in Taiwan. Her research interests sit at the intersection of translation politics and political communication, with a particular focus on ideology, diplomatic discourse, language policy and Taiwan identity. Her recent work has appeared in publications by Palgrave Macmillan and Academia Sinica Press.
