Hello Everyone!
My name is Despoina Papadopoulou, I’m 22 years old and I come from Greece. My field of expertise is International & European studies, a path I decided to walk when I was introduced to the inner workings of grand scale systems such as E.U, through the Euroscola program. The MUN virus was the next step and so after my first MUN and 20 MUN after that one I am happy that my last chairing position in SimUnesCO coincides with the first committee I chaired 2 years ago. In addition to that I was an intern at the UNESCO Center for Women and Peace in the Balkans where my love for anything that has to do with human rights (especially those of children and women) is fully expressed. In all these MUN, from cold Stockholm to sunny Rhodes and from friendly Barcelona to funny Milan, I experienced all the things I love: meeting new people, new cultures, honing my diplomatic skills all the while. So what a better way to finish my MUN career by chairing the Education committee, handling such an important issue as that of the education of minorities and national groups! It is in my utmost belief that SimUnesCO Corfu 2013 will prove to be for all of you a great learning experience which will combine and uphold in the greatest degree possible the number one rule for any successful MUN: Work Hard, Party Harder! So don’t hesitate to contact me for anything you may need, as your chairperson I remain fully at your disposal. Despoina Papadopoulou |
