Dear delegates,

I am really honored to welcome you all to the first SimUnesCo, and especially to our most interesting committee of natural sciences!

My name is Ariadni Polichroniou and I am studying law at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. This conference will be my 19th simulation conference and my 14th time as a Chairperson after having served as a chair in various committees in DSAMUN, AMUN, CGSMUN, ACMUN and THIMUN. During my senior year in DSA(German School of Athens), I had the honor to serve as the Secretary General of DSAMUN and also as the President of the Committee of Disarmament and International Security in the Hague International Model United Nations. Having been involved with Model United Nations since the 8th grade, I had the privilege to experience unforgettable moments, to meet promising young persons from all over the world, to gain useful knowledge, and also to get familiar with a new, innovative way of thinking and acting under the terms of diplomacy!

Besides MUN, I have also participated in debating clubs, EYP (European Youth Parliament) and literary competitions. Generally, I am very interested in history, politics, classical literature and traveling!

I am looking forward to meeting you all in August and I can assure you in advance that your participation in our conference will be a very productive and fruitful travel into the world of international politics!
