Honorable delegates,

My name is Vasiliki Panagiotopoulou and I am going to be the Director- General of UNESCO. I am 21 years old and I am studying in the Department of Foreign Languages Translation and Interpreting of the Ionian University.

My first conference was in 2009, ThessISMUN. This is my 7th experience and my third time as a member of the board.

What I like about conferences is that we all meet new people, we find allies, ’’enemies”, and in the end we have only friends and extraordinary memories.

So, my dear friends this is your chance to experience it all! I warmly welcome you to SimUnesCO and I strongly urge you to negotiate, agree, disagree, and of course have all the fun you can (during the social events).

I am looking forward to meeting you all in beautiful Corfu.
